Quick Top Alteration

Do you ever feel like it's the quickest and easiest fixes that can make the biggest difference? Me neither, hehe! But this time it did!

I bought this peasant shirt recently, and didn't realize just how boxy it really was until I got home. I wanted a shirt that was flowy and roomy, and nursing-friendly, but this was a little too roomy and shapeless. Exhibit A:

I grabbed some 1/4" elastic, and stretched it as much as it would allow while I sewed it to the wrong side of the shirt back with a zig zag stitch. The result? It's still roomy and comfortable, but the excess fabric is pulled in now, giving the shirt more shape. Much better!

I can think of probably 5 shirts in my closet right now I could do this to! Thanks for the tip, I totally want to try it. Or maybe I should start buying my shirts one size smaller. Haha.

This might just revolutionize my closet! I am not so blessed on the front side, so many of my looser shirts just make me still look pregnant. I am going to try it! Thanks for the idea.
