An Inch Shy of a Blouse

I've been getting some sewing done lately, and even have a bit of proof!

I ordered this Amy Butler fabric not too long ago. It's always been my favorite polka dot print, and I knew I wouldn't have a problem finding a use for it. What I did end up having a problem with, though, was making the blouse an inch too short. So frustrating. Luckily, I think I may still have enough fabric for another try, fingers crossed!

I hope all my Canadian friends had a happy Canada Day yesterday!

Aw that's a shame, the fabric is gorgeous, you could say it's a cropped blouse?! x

you could layer a tee underneath maybe? or I have some down east tank tops that have the lace on the bottom.. might be cute and adds some length.

Yeah, I was going suggest some lace trim down the bottom too :) Might be quite pretty.

okay all is not lost go get some crocheted trim like an inch or 2 in width and add it to the bottom it looks really hippie and retro with this fabric. you can add it to the sleeves also.

how about a layer of straight edged pink/orange material... matching those colors but only one of the colors... so that those scallops stand out... :)
