Ok, I just pinned this, it might be exactly what I'm looking for. I'm having a boy but I've always been a firm believer that the diaper bag is for the mom more than for the baby and can still be pretty with a boy baby!

Wow! I just purchased this pattern and I am SO impressed with how clearly it's written, and how beautifully illustrated by the photos! I was a little daunted by 46 pages, but in fact it's done incredibly well and I am super excited to start! thanks so much!

Just bought the pattern & pinned it. I have been looking for a great diaper bag pattern & this is it.
Question - what heavy duty interfacing did you use or would you recommend?

Sew Much Ado said...

Belinda - I like to use Pellon 950F ShirTailor - it's quite stiff and does a great job to help a bag keep it's shape :).

I wish I could just buy the bag...feeling too lazy to sew it! Ha! And cute name choice...is this an announcement of your baby girl's name?? ;) good luck with everything, I keep waiting to hear your news!

Love this bag! Although I must say, I'm intimidated by sewing it! Zippers and heavy fabrics have never been my strong point....

Hi Kendra! I don't make items to sell, but I wish I could say that I did! I just don't have the time, and I have to say that designing patterns is where my heart is! I am working on a few licenses right now with others to make and sell the bags though, and I'll be sure to announce it on the blog when they're ready!

I love the fabric of the example bag! What are they?

Sew Much Ado said...

MamatoMany - Thanks, I do too :). It's Joel Dewberry's Heirloom line, in home dec weight!

The design of the fabric and your pattern. Having many things to put in a bag is a fact for girls and this bag can hide those bulky things. I'm impressed.

My mom bought this pattern from you a few months back and made me 2 diaper bags. I received them yesterday at my baby shower. This is going to be my fourth baby, and I can tell you as a mother with "experience", these diapers bags are amazing, beautiful and made well!!! Thank you for creating this pattern!
