Chair Makeover: Before and After

Earlier I showed you this chair that I got at DI for $8.

Then, after a $4 can of red spray paint and one very interested onlooker...

And as always, after the paint came the distressing.

I love how the dark finish came through under the red.

For $12 and a bit of elbow grease, I've already got some great use out of it (as you can see, it made it's way into some of our apron pattern cover shots) and I think it'll be a fun little addition to have in my sewing room.

My mother-in-law has some chairs like that. I need to see if she'll part with one to give it a makeover! Love it.

This looks like the dang set in my dining room. I so need to do something with it! Did you sand it first or just go at it with the spray can? It looks great!

So cute. The distressing really gives it the finishing touch and you did a great job in choosing a shade of red...that can be tricky!

Abby, this turned out beautifully! Agh, now I just want a whole set for my dining room. But I guess first I'd better have a dining room. Haha. Seriously though, such a beautiful job.
