About Me

I have been sewing since I was young, when I used to make myself play skirts (basically just a tube with an elastic casing in the top) that would always mysteriously dissappear (thanks Mom). Maybe they weren't as cool as I remember them being. Despite her hobby of throwing my play skirts in the garbage, my mom taught me almost everything I know about sewing :).

As I got older, I sewed pretty much all of my dresses for church and made a lot of clothes. Now that I have two sons, my sewing has grown into a lot of childrens projects, which I love. I love that there's less fabric to buy and it takes less time to complete projects when your sewing for kids!

I started the Sew Much Ado blog as a way to share my love of sewing with others. I love making tutorials, and have recently designed two sewing patterns, the Ruby Lou Doll Pattern and Gathers and Giggles Quilt Pattern.

I love to hear from you all so feel free to comment or email me.  Thanks for visiting my blog!
