Ric rac receiving blanket.

If you read my blog I'm sure you noticed that I tend to go on tangents with most of what I sew. Last summer I went on an apron tangent, and haven't made one since, after that was a bib tangent, which I also haven't made since, and now I think that ric rac has won my heart for the time being. At least ric rac can be used for many different projects, so maybe I will be able to keep a bit of variety in my projects.

I made this ric rac trimmed receiving blanket and some matching burp cloths out of Valori Wells Urban Flannel for my little one that is coming in June. I also will be making a tutorial for it soon, even though it's probably simple enough that most people can figure it out on their own. I guess it would be best for beginner sewers, and is a nice-easy-quick project, just the way I like 'em!

Can't wait for this tutorial!!! That is SUCH a cute blanket! Wish we lived closer together so I could have you answer all my questions I get when I'm sewing. Usually they begin with "wait a second... something doesn't look right...."
