Crayon Roll.

For Wyatt's first birthday my SIL made him the cutest crayon roll. I was so excited because I had seen the one that she made for her son and had wanted to make one but you know how that goes! She found the tutorial here. She always finds the best tutorials and projects online.

Want a new cookbook?

Then you gotta check out my SIL's new cookbook, soon to be hot off the press. It is fancy schmancy and I can attest to her yummy desserts. I can't wait to get one for myself!

Proof that I try.

I really have been trying to get Wyatt's card table playhouse made, but he's definately not helping with the process. Today I tried to work on cutting the pieces out while he was in the room, and it reminded me why I don't sew when he's awake. His favorite thing to do was to stomp really fast on top of all the fabric. If only he could understand how much fun the fabric will be when it's a playhouse, I think he would be more cooperative.

Wool Boots.

Check out these wool boots I found on Tutus and Turtles. Maybe not the most functional, but still so cute.

Sew Babies Giveaway.

My friend Jenn just started a new business and has a fun new blog to go with it.  She's doing her first giveaway here.  It's open until she gets 50 entries, so go and enter.  I should also mention that she actually majored in Home Ec at BYU so she knows her stuff!  I wish I had her knowledge.  She made me the cutest diaper bag ever for Wyatt, I never even ended up using the one that I had bought until the past few months because I loved it so much.

Have you entered yet?  Then do it.  Do it.  Do it.  What's that movie where Ben Stiller keeps saying that in a really funny low voice?  Oh ya, I think it's Starsky and Hutch.  Makes me laugh just thinking about it.

I know.

I know I'm obsessed, but I wanted to post an idea for a boy's card table playhouse.  I thought this was cute, and could be made into a cowboy theme easily.  I'm still debating between a cowboy theme and an army or camouflage theme.  You can see the lady's website that made the playhouse above here.  I want to get one made soon and hopefully remember to take pictures along the way so I can make a tutorial out of it.

Amy Butler New Free Patterns Are Here!

Just in time for Christmas, Amy Butler has a bunch of new free patterns. You can see all of them here. The tree skirt pictured above is my favorite.

Nursing Cover.

I made this nursing cover for my friend Lorianne that is having a baby next month. She is one of my favorite people ever, and also makes the yummiest desserts in the world. My sister had her brownies once while she was visiting me and has not stopped talking about them ever since. Nursing covers are fun to make because they are so fast and easy, and so incredibly practical.

On another note, does anyone have any good chicken salad croissant recipes (or anything similar)?

Shirt #1.

I am almost done my pattern-less shirt. I just need to hem it. I think I might leave it long, more of a tunic style, rather than cutting off a few extra inches. What do you think? I know the fabric isn't the cutest, but considering it was $1/yard at Walmart it worked perfect for a trial run. I also bought a pattern today for a top, so I'm probably gonna make another one out of the same fabric.

Giveaway.

Do I have your attention? Good, cause I don't actually have a giveaway. Jokes on you! Just kidding, well not really, but I am planning on doing my first giveaway since that seems to be what good bloggers do these days. I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas. I have a few of my own, but I thought it would be fun to hear all of your ideas (emphasis on ALL). Right now I'm going to go and try my hand at designing a pattern for a shirt. What kind of shirt? I have no idea, but I will soon find out. I told myself that if I cleaned my entire house today I could go to JoAnn and get a pattern for my $1/yard Walmart knit fabric. I've had this same deal going with myself for the past few days, and I don't think it's gonna happen any time soon, so I decided I better just try and make one without a pattern. If I don't mention anything about it later, don't ask... for obvious reasons.
